Wind and Hydropower

PNNL conducts research and development to develop more environmentally friendly technologies to maintain the Nation's existing hydropower capacity through definition of biological specifications for safe operation of hydropower turbines, measurement of physical conditions inside turbine systems using novel instrumentation and development of predictive tools for evaluating environmental performance, testing turbine design.
